In 1999 when Vice Ganda decided to join the field of stand-up comedy that started as a casual fun in a comedy bar where his talent was discovered. He was branded as “Vice” by his close friend, a sweet version of his surname “Viceral.” He studied Political Science in Far Eastern University where he also had an inclination as he became popular while playing basketball.

‘Tutoy” became inspired to enter the entertainment scene in the early demise of his father, and the fact that his mother had to go abroad and work for the family. But for ‘Tutoy’ he found out since the start that he was not so fond of women. At first glance, he is like any other young boy in their neighborhood, playing basketball and fond of checking on women. The youngest of five, ‘Tutoy’ or Jose Marie Borja Viceral in real life grew up on the streets of Sta. Vice Ganda, before rising to stardom, is commonly called ‘Totoy’ (young boy). Pechanga Resort Casino is well-known for hosting the best and the brightest Filipino entertainers and gave wholesome entertainment to the delight of the crowd.
